Q. The Model and Talent agency market is very competitive. To be successful Vie Agency will need some advantages over other agencies. What are some key advantages you will be able to offer to talent? And clients?

A. For models, we know we have the best opportunities in the area. After working in LA, I obtained many amazing contacts (with deep pockets). In addition, Vie strives to be the most honest, ethical, and transparent agency on the market. We have nothing to hide and will never charge models/actors a fee in order to be represented. This means no website fees either. For clients, we offer superior talent and increased accessibility. This means thoroughly interviewing our talent and only representing the very best. In addition, I believe that a talent agency should always be available 24/7 for its clients. Just because it’s 6PM doesn’t mean your phone should turn off.

Q. On the East Coast many Models work in more than one city. What advice would you give a Philadelphia Model looking to also break into the New York Market?

A. Always be available. You need to have plenty of time to go to castings. If you don’t go to castings, then you can’t book jobs. Clients always want to see talent in person. So if you have a job that doesn’t allow you to take off at a moment’s notice, it’s time to switch jobs. You’re competing with hundreds of other men and women who model/act full time. So you’ve got to fully commit yourself and open your calendars.

Q. All startups start out small. Do you envision Vie Agency staying a boutique size agency, or eventually growing into a large size agency?

A. So Vie will start out small. But I envision the agency growing very quickly. Once it does, I want to open a sister office on the West Coast. Not only do I love LA, but it allows for more opportunities for our talent. I want talent to have as many opportunities as possible.

Q. We hear a lot about Social media influencers and even Social Media stars. While these influencers have followings they may not have extensive business contacts. Do you see an opportunity to represent Social influencers or other non traditional talent?

A. That’s something which I dealt with quite often on the West Coast. And Vie is open to it as well. The industry is always changing and we have to adapt with it. I encourage every model and actor to either clean up their social media pages or make a new one. Many times, clients want to see a talent’s Instagram page and/or wants to know how many followers he/her has. I have seen talent lose jobs because they didn’t have enough social media followers. So social media is crucial these days.
